The Princeton Youth Sports Foundation was started to help bring safety to all our local youth sports programs.  In the past few years we have noticed an alarming increase in head injuries occurring in our children when playing sports.  These head injuries can have long-term and detrimental effects on our youth.  The Foundations first goal is to provide Guardian Caps for up to 100 youth football players in our community from 2nd-6th grade.  We will provide the caps to ball handlers and D-backs whose parents would like them.  We also have secured special pricing to provide the caps for all football participants playing through the Princeton Schools.  Our goal is to create awareness of the problems associated with head injuries and a solution to help prevent them.  Next year, we will continue to work with the football program AND start working with our hockey program when the hockey version of the Guardian Caps will be available.
